West Sussex Wedding Photographer
Most of the weddings I shoot as a West Sussex Wedding Photographer are here in my lovely home county of Sussex. From barn weddings, marquees, big country homes and pubs as well as back gardens & farms, I shoot in all sorts of locations. Here’s a wedding I think you’ll enjoy having a look through. It’s a good example of the way I like to shoot, with lots of documentary shots as well as some of just Vicky and Will and a few group shots.
This is Will and Vicky’s wedding on a gorgeous sunny Sussex day. We first met on a wet miserable night in Waterloo in London, so Will and Vicky could have a look at some of my work and see what they thought of me as a West Sussex wedding photographer. The contrast couldn’t have been bigger between that night and their wedding day! We did meet a month before their wedding day too as I always like to do, so we could go through their plans for the day and I could suggest times to do some group shots and confetti as well as some shots of just the two of them. Starting on their wedding day at Vicky’s mum & dad’s house with all her bridesmaids and friends, the atmosphere was fun and chaotic, though Vicky was an oasis of calm.
I then went down to be with Will in the village at the Tiger Inn. I photographed all the groomsmen coming up the hill to the Church and then went back to be with Vicky as she finished getting ready. Vicky’s dad sprang a surprise on her with a cart for her to be wheeled to the church in. Apparently it’s a Sussex tradition that the bride is wheeled to the church by her father and back from the church by her new husband! I was very impressed that Vicky didn’t miss a beat and just got into the cart ready to go to the church!
The ceremony was lovely, as were the dinner and speeches. The weather held up providing a wonderful backdrop to the day. I have to say what a pleasure it was to photograph Vicky and Will’s day, not just because of how beautiful their wedding was, but because I had such great fun dealing with them. I know they’ll have a very long and happy marriage together, they are clearly so in love.
