Horsted Place Weddings have all the elegance of a Victorian English country house, coupled with rolling countryside and woods filled with wild flowers. Perfect for some beautiful shots of the two of you as well as having plenty of room to do a huge group shot of everyone and some smaller group shots. The lovely gardens are perfect for your drinks reception while I work in the background getting great shots of your guests laughing and talking. You can even have your ceremony outside in the gardens. The dining rooms are always full of beautiful light even on a dull day, flooding the rooms and bouncing around giving great skin tones and lovely directional light. The house offers lots of opportunities for great photographs. As a Sussex Wedding Photographer I particularly love shooting here with photo ops in and outside the house.
What I like about Horsted Place Weddings
One of the interesting things about being a wedding photographer is finding the venues you love shooting at. Some venues just really work for me and Horsted Place is one of them. The reason one venue works over another is usually the light, though Horsted Place has a particular flow to it that works beautifully. As you can see above from the shots I did of Iana getting ready, the rooms have very directional light which I can use to get lovely contrasty photos, particularly for black and white shots. The dining rooms also have great directional light. It doesn’t really matter if you have a sunny day or cloudy, the way the windows work and the way the house is laid out means for very useable light from a West Sussex wedding photographer‘s point of view.
