We truly struck gold finding Neil whilst searching for a photographer. We wanted someone who knew the area and venue, and viewing Neil’s website, we knew immediately we had found our photographer! Everything we wanted our photographs to be were clearly the way he liked to shoot, and after speaking to Neil we booked him straight away!
In the run up to the wedding we spoke to Neil on various occasions and loved the suggestions he made, he was keen to hear our thoughts and between us we came up with a plan… On the day of the wedding we hardly noticed Neil was there, he mingled with our guests taking some of the most beautifully natural photographs, alongside the “standard group shots”. We wanted Neil to capture natural shots of our guests during dinner, so he sat with our guests and caught some really special moments and some of our favourite photographs were taken during that time.
Our photographs are beautiful and we are absolutely delighted with them, they show a relaxed day with our family and friends enjoying themselves. Every shot tells a story and we continue to look at the gorgeous album we had made by Neil and Sarah, six months on.

Neil was recommended by the sister of a good friend who is a photographer. We met him and two other photographers before making our decision. We felt that Neil’s passion for photography really shone through and he came across as enthusiastic and experienced. The style of Neil’s pictures was exactly the kind of thing we were looking for – not too intrusive and very natural. Choosing the right photographer was very important to us, as your wedding photos are something you look back on for years to come. There wasn’t a moment when we thought we might have made the wrong decision.

We found Neil when he photographed a friend’s wedding and were instantly impressed with how friendly and organised he is. He circulated the wedding party, putting people at ease during the formal group photos, as well as stealthily capturing the natural moments without people being aware of the camera.
After seeing our friend’s photos, we booked Neil immediately for our own wedding! We met up with Neil to discuss our day and what we would like. He gave us advice on what would work best, especially how to capture the morning for both bride and groom.
On our wedding day Neil was fantastic! He fitted into the wedding as if he had known everyone forever, remembering all the wedding parties’ names. He managed to capture every single shot, including every frame of a hysterical accident involving our best man, and wonderful photos of my flower girls playing. He also took the time to show my flower girls the photos he was taking of them, so they felt included – a very kind thing to do.
Neil was incredibly prompt in editing and sharing our photos with us. His photos were beautiful, charming, witty, and really captured the essence of our day. You can tell by the outcome of the photos that he is constantly aware of lighting and the best angles to catch the perfect natural photo. I remember feeling completely overwhelmed at how amazing each shot was and we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome!

We loved having Neil shoot our wedding – in the lead up he was very professional and put us at ease through Skype calls to ensure we were 100% happy with the plan. This also gave us a chance to outline our preferences for shots when/if it was raining for example. After the day we had so many comments from guests saying that he was brilliant at organising people when needed and blending into the background. At one point I wondered where he had gone but that’s exactly why we booked him – to blend into the background and get the best natural shots as a result! Neil also sent us a message to pass on to our guests just before the wedding to outline his style of photography and I think this made a difference to how comfortable people felt.
We booked Neil because we loved the work on his website, and were looking for a photographer who likes to get the best natural shots. As we were having an ‘East meets West’ wedding, traditional Indian photographers prefer very posed shots and we knew this was not what we were looking for. We wanted someone who was able to shoot from the background and get beautiful shots because people don’t know they’re being photographed.
In the run up to the wedding Neil was very professional and happy to take our ideas and thoughts on board. He was also useful at advising us on the best ‘flow’ of the day, given the venue. On the day Neil was friendly, calm, professional and unobtrusive. We were very happy that he was able to be flexible given that our timetable shifted.
It was lovely to see our best photos on a slideshow – we were able to share this with our close family and friends. The photos are beautiful and Neil managed to capture some lovely moments. There are a few photos in particular which I absolutely love because I thought we had stolen a moment alone and I had no idea Neil was there! There’s a great mix of black and white and colour images, and the lighting was perfect. We are very happy to recommend Neil!

Neil was recommended to us by Farbridge, our wedding venue. After talking to him we both came away with such a great feeling about Neil, his work, calmness and attitude. We left really wanting Neil to be our wedding photographer as he had put us at ease straight away.
In preparing for the wedding Neil was fantastic. Every email was replied to quickly and every question answered thoroughly. A few days before the wedding, Neil phoned us and spoke to us in greater depth about specific family photos we wanted and timings of the day. He also recommended buying a bridal umbrella…as he recommends this to every bride and then they don’t get rain on their day! We had beautiful sunshine!!
On the day Neil was a true professional! Calm, assertive manner, approachable with everyone. A delight to have on our wedding day. Just brilliant! Also amazing with advice on getting pollen off a grooms suit jacket after capturing some amazing photos in the rapeseed…he even managed to capture that on camera too!!
When we saw our wedding photographs for the first time we were happy, delighted, pleased, amazed, wonderful memories – too many adjectives! Just stunning! Neil had captured moments of the day we missed and took photographs from different angles, rather than ‘staged’ shots. There are some gorgeous photographs of our bridal party getting ready and my dad walking in to see me in my dress for the first time. Just gorgeous! Neil also travelled over to the pub to see the boys beforehand – these are lovely photos and great to see how David prepared in the morning!!

Our venue recommended Neil and we felt so comfortable with him from the very beginning. On our wedding day Neil just blended into the background, he wasn’t intrusive at all. He captured the feel of our day perfectly and he didn’t miss a single special moment. We received our wedding photos the day before we flew home from our honeymoon and we just couldn’t stop looking at them. They were truly perfect. Neil was absolutely fantastic. Our wedding venue recommended him to us and we loved the style of photos on his website. We met Neil at a friend’s wedding. We loved his approach to wedding photography and got great feedback from our friends whose wedding it was. Neil was actually the first supplier we booked after getting engaged.

We found Neil through our venue and saw some of his work and liked his style. We were keen to get a photographer who would not only get natural shots but wouldn’t impose themselves too much either.
As we live in Manchester we had a Skype call a few weeks before the wedding. We were really impressed that we didn’t have to chase this up, in fact Neil made us more organised! He also took the initiative to go to the locations ahead of the wedding, which showed a really high level of dedication and professionalism. There is enough to worry about the morning of the day, without a lost or late photographer adding to the mix!
Neil was great on the day, he was very relaxed and let us spend time with our guests but also made sure we were outside to make the most of the light when it stopped raining. We even had a rainbow on the day! We had to have some pictures inside but as Neil knew the venue really well it meant that we still got some great group shots. Neil was also super-patient with our very enthusiastic guests who took a while to organise themselves for the group shot.
We loved our wedding photographs! It was great getting a taste while we were on honeymoon but then seeing the full set when we got home meant we could re-live the day even after the post-honeymoon come down! There were so many moments that we weren’t aware of that Neil had captured brilliantly, and he really caught the fun atmosphere of the reception.
We’ve recommended Neil to two of our friends who also used him, and we would recommend him to anyone else as we think he was a great addition to our day.

Neil was recommended to us by two other photographers and met him at one of our venues, The Museum of Water and Steam. We really liked his approach to wedding photography and his excitement at shooting at our venue and wedding.
Before the wedding Neil talked through some ideas which was helpful and he was also respectful about what we ultimately wanted from our photos. We received questions beforehand about who was who at the wedding which I really liked as it meant we’d ensure we would get photos of those who were the most important to us. He also took the time to take a look round our other venue before the big day – this reduced time away from our guests as Neil knew exactly where we were going to shoot photos of the two of us.
On the day we hardly noticed Neil which I liked as I hadn’t wanted someone in my face all day. We’d agreed on a few ‘staged’ photos but had kept these to a minimum as we wanted the photos to be natural and a real reminder of the day and Neil captured this very well. We’ve had such great comments from friends and family about our wedding photos and also about Neil on the day, which is a testament to him and the way he works.
Neil kept in touch with us after the wedding whilst we were on honeymoon to keep us in the loop about when we’d see our photographs and a few days after we got back we had them, which was lovely to come back to. A year and a half later I still love looking through our photos and we have some lovely reminders around the house of our wonderful celebration thanks to Neil.

We contacted a handful of wedding photographers and had video calls with them all. Neil was very friendly and professional in explaining his role in our big day. We were very pleased with the photos – they beautifully captured the emotions of the day. Our wedding was particularly eventful as we combined Russian and Indian traditions and games. Neil never missed a beat and captured moments of the day that we missed in person on the day.
Neil was very discreet and professional and managed to effectively organise large groups of people. He captured all the key moments yet still managed to blend into the background. He had a great idea of a second private photoshoot between us as the summer sun was setting – producing stunning photographs. We never felt rushed or unnatural. In all, everything we could ask for in a great wedding photographer.
