London Wedding Photographer
London was where it all started for me as a wedding photographer, it boasts some of the best venues (& people!) in the world. I believe I could shoot at a different venue every week for the rest of my life & still only cover half the wedding venues in London, there really are so many of them. London itself offers a wonderful background to any wedding too. There are many locations outside the venues to have some photos taken. As a London wedding photographer, I’ve shot in many of these locations. The Embankment across from the Houses of parliament is excellent, with beautiful light coming from the river & wonderful backdrops, with Parliament itself & other London landmarks in the distance. St James’s Park & The Mall of course give, not only iconic backdrops, but also lovely tree lined avenues, the park itself & areas off to each side such as the Waterloo Steps. Tower Bridge, as well as being a great venue, provides a good backdrop when shot from along the river. As a location it ticks a lot of the right boxes, with great light, lots of buildings giving it a very London feel. I’ve shot there lots of times & apart from the paperwork involved in getting permission to shoot there, it’s a great place to get wonderful images.
Here are just a few of the venues I’ve shot at recently, as well as being recommended by many of them. The Queen’s House, The ICA, Pembroke Lodge, The Oyster Shed, Westminster Cathedral, St Bartholomew the Great, London Zoo, The Savoy, The Waldorf, 116 Pall Mall, the Houses of Parliament & the Park Lane Hotel.
Here’s a slideshow of Kate & Oakley’s London wedding. they started at Westminster Cathedral & then went on to the Garden Museum for their reception. It was a beautiful day & partly because we visited so many locations that day, I shot some great wedding photographs for them.
