A beautiful sunny day, a stylish happy couple and an amazing London wedding venue. The perfect ingredients for a brilliant wedding day for Nadine and Joe.
Nadine’s wedding preparations began at the gorgeous Charlotte Street Hotel, in the heart of Soho. Nadine, her parents Janos and Sieglinde and bridesmaids Stacey, Leah and Izzy prepared for the day ahead with champagne and cake. And a lot of laughter. Nadine was also delighted with a surprise present from her parents – Tiffany jewellery.
After some great getting ready shots, it was down to the ICA, a prestigious Grade 1 listed Nash house on the Mall. Joe was stylishly dressed in a dinner jacket, greeting guests as he waited for his bride. The airy Nash Rooms were the setting for the ceremony and reception. Nadine arrived looking beautiful and elegant. She clearly wowed her groom as she walked down the aisle. After the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed champagne on the balcony overlooking the Mall.
After the big group shot taken from the balcony, everyone went into the gardens opposite for drinks. Nadine and Joe were keen to see their friends and family, but we made time for some shots of the two of them. We shot some inside the ICA, making the most of the central staircase and balconies the building offers. Outside we dropped down the Waterloo Steps onto the Mall, and took some stunning shots of Joe and Nadine in front of Admiralty Arch – a great backdrop for a wedding photographer. I love shooting on the Mall – the intimacy of the couple, set against the hustle of such a busy location. There’s hundreds of people around them, but as far as they are concerned it’s just the two of them.
Back at the drinks reception I caught the happy, relaxed atmosphere of the wedding party. Dinner in the Nash Rooms brought more joy and laughter, with great food and speeches. After Joe and Nadine’s romantic first dance, everyone hit the dance floor. Great dancing shots round off a fantastic wedding. A brilliant wedding. A pleasure to photograph.
Great venue to work at and some precious moments documented, well done!
What beautiful photos :-)
