Wedding photography at Westminster Cathedral & the Savoy Hotel

What a beautiful day! Joanne’s poise & calm meant the day went extremely smoothly. We had a lot to pack in…starting at The Savoy Hotel with Joanne, I then travelled to Westminster Cathedral with Brice and his groomsmen.

Though I’ve photographed weddings at Westminster Cathedral before, this time was going to be different. Joanne & Brice’s ceremony was to be in the main sanctuary of the cathedral rather than in the Lady’s Chapel. What a spectacular setting for their vows! I was given access to areas of the cathedral the general public aren’t allowed in, and thankfully so, that meant I could get some great shots without them even knowing I was there!

After a trip to the Embankment, across from Parliament, for some beautiful shots of the two of them, we then went back to the Savoy in time for Joanne to make a quick change for the start of their Chinese Tea Ceremony. The meal in the main ballroom was excellent as usual thanks to the very friendly and efficient team at The Savoy.

Joanne & Brice’s first dance was followed by some very energetic and fun dancing.
