ICA Wedding Photography – London weddings
When Omar first started talking to me about his vision for his & Yasmina’s wedding, I knew I would get some great ICA wedding photography. He had a very clear idea of what he wanted for his London wedding & it mostly hinged around the James Bond theme. His attention to detail was so complete that even the crib cards for his speech had the Spectre symbol on them. It could have been a bit of a production, but with Omar & Yasmina as the bride & groom it was a totally stylish & fun London wedding. Omar had even bought a limited edition Spectre Omega Seamaster watch. One of the wonderful things about being an ICA wedding photographer is how totally different every wedding at the ICA is.
I started with Yasmina at her hotel & from there I went to the Mayfair Library to be with Omar & his family. The Mayfair Library provided a particularly appropriate setting for the ceremony as Omar insisted on doing a selfie once Yasmina had joined him in front of the registrar. This set the tone for the rest of the day, & only the first of many selfies for Omar & Yasmina & more than one attempt to get the entire wedding in one selfie! I had of course arranged to do a big group shot of everyone to make sure we really did have one shot with everyone in!
Once we arrived at the ICA, I was able to take Omar & Yasmina on to the Mall for some beautiful shots of the two of them. They clearly enjoyed being together & in front of the camera, playing & laughing not just for the camera but for themselves. The light was gorgeous, intermittently with the light rain we had from time to time. In particular the sun was very generous when we got to Horse Guards Parade, we were able to do the quintessential Bond shot with Horse Guards in the background. I also love the shot I got of Yasmina on the terrace with her veil billowing out behind her & the snatched shot I got as she turned & came in out of the light. We could have gone on for another hour or so shooting in that light, but Omar & Yasmina’s guests were waiting, so we headed back to the ICA for champagne & the usual gorgeous food.
A highlight of the day, for me was the dancing in the evening, everyone got involved & clapped & waved their arms as a succession of friends & relatives danced. It was so totally natural & fun, I was sad to leave, though Omar & Yasmina did a last pose in front of the Bond background to see me off.
This wedding was shot at a wonderful London wedding venue.
