Farbridge wedding venue – Sussex Wedding Photographer
I first met Emma & Tim for their engagement shoot at Petworth Park & knew very quickly I wanted to shoot their wedding. We had a great time doing the shoot & the plans for their wedding day sounded very exciting. Fast forward to the day & I could see as soon as I arrived to photograph Emma getting ready, it was going to be huge fun. Emma’s dress suited the fifties theme perfectly, it was absolutely beautiful, certainly one of the most amazing wedding dresses I’ve ever seen, & I’ve see a few!
Emma had lots of her family & friends around her at Valdoe Studios while she was getting ready, which added to the festive atmosphere, as did the gorgeous sunny day.
At Farbridge, Tim was clearly nervous as he waited for Emma to arrive for the ceremony. Luckily he had his brother as best man to help him through. Lots of the guests had dressed in fifties style making it a proper themed wedding.
Great fans, not only of the fifties, but of fifties music, Emma & Tim danced their way back down the aisle after the ceremony, certainly making for one of my more exciting recessionals :-). Interestingly, none of the guests seemed surprised, clearly knowing Emma & Tim better than I do!
During the drinks & after I’d taken Emma & Tim away for some shots of just the two of them, we got to have a look at the VW camper they were going to honeymoon in. In lovely baby blue, the camper was kitted out perfectly for a holiday. Tim being a cycling fan, they also had a tandem at their wedding, which they rode round the car park much to the amusement of all the guests :-). I have to say how much I admired Emma, as I’ve not met many brides who’d be willing to ride a tandem in their wedding dress on their wedding day!
I also loved hearing Emma sing just before their first dance. Emma had told me she was going to sing, but I had no idea what to expect. Her voice is wonderful and she looked so professional. It was also wonderful to see the look of utter devotion on Tim’s face as he watched her sing. They followed it up with a great first dance.
