Farbridge Wedding | Dawn & Pete
Dawn got ready for her wedding at the gorgeous Church House in Midhurst. The natural light combined with the space and charm of the house made it a fantastic spot for taking photos of Dawn and her bridesmaids Helen & Sarah. Christina Jessel did Dawn’s hair & makeup beautifully while I floated around photographing them all.
Pete meanwhile was at Easebourne Church making sure all the last minute wedding arrangements were in place. I turned up to find him surrounded by his groomsmen and best man Tom. The light was amazing, very strong low winter sunlight. The huge side window in the church made full use of the sun, flooding the church with gorgeous light.
The ceremony was lovely with Dawn preceded by a piper & Pete spotlit by the sun through the stained glass as she made her way down the aisle.
Once at Farbridge, guests were able to drink & chat in the courtyard, despite it being December, because of the wonderful weather. I took Dawn & Pete off to get some photos of the two of them.
As ever at Farbridge, the wedding breakfast was fantastic, as was the atmosphere. One of the reasons I love shooting weddings at Farbridge is the amazing light throughout the barn. Glass doors and windows along the walls let in loads of lovely light, even when it’s overcast. The flint walls knock the light around giving great skin tones and soft glowing light.
With the speeches done, Dawn & Pete led the ceilidh with the excellent License to Ceilidh.
