Planning your wedding photography

Finding the right wedding photographer for your big day is vital. The beautiful images you receive after the event will be with you forever. So it’s really important the photography captures the joy, fun, anxiety and relief – not to mention the love – you felt that day as it all came together. On your 60th wedding anniversary when you look through your wedding album with your family, you’ll laugh and cry just as you did on the day. That’s the power of truly great photography!

Many of the best moments I capture aren’t planned, which is why I mainly work unobtrusively in the background. This means you and your guests can have a great time, leaving me to worry about the photography. I can be there as you’re getting ready for the day ahead, until the last dance of the night, depending on your needs. The only time I’ll be controlling events will be for the formal group shots and some relaxed and fun bride and groom shots. You can have as much or as little formal photography as you want or need, it’s up to you.

Wedding photography is all about planning. It’s important we meet before your wedding, to discuss what you want and what the arrangements are, so that on the day you can relax knowing the photography is being taken care of.  Ahead of your wedding I’ll visit the venues as necessary and we’ll discuss timings, location for photography and anything else I need to know that will help the day run smoothly. I’ll be completely prepared for those inevitable changes in the timings and of course the weather!

As soon as possible after your wedding (usually within a week, sometimes two at busy times) your pictures will be edited, individually retouched and ready to view on your personal, passworded online viewing gallery. Friends and relatives will also be able to view and buy copies of your pictures from the gallery.
