I love photographing weddings at The Distillers Pub in Smithfield. The atmosphere created by Scott and the staff there is relaxed and fun and the light is great. I also get to take photographs from several different angles and heights because of the upper level. Particularly during the speeches it means I can be very unobtrusive and catch some of the best moments without people realising I’m there.

As well as gorgeous food, the layout of The Distillers makes for a very intimate party atmosphere and the interior is fantastic with the amazing chandeliers and staircase.

The local area is excellent for photographs, with Smithfield Market just across the road, and a park. Beautiful old buildings provide interesting and dramatic backdrops.

Ruth & Alan’s wedding at Rhinefield House Hotel in the New Forest, Hampshire

Rhinefield House Hotel in The New Forest, Hampshire made a perfect wedding venue for Ruth and Alan’s wedding. What a great day! Not only was the setting great, but the weather proved to be a perfect crisp winters day. Great light at a winter wedding makes a huge difference to me as a wedding photographer! I was able to take some beautiful photos in the stunning grounds and gardens, which also proved a great backdrop for some formal group shots.
Another great feature of Ruth & Alan’s wedding was Greg Williamson, the Close-Up Magician (www.gregwilliamson.co.uk ) who kept everyone entertained with amazing magic during the reception. No idea how he does it but brilliant to see. I loved photographing people’s expressions as they watched!

Asian Weddings

As a professional photographer, I photograph a lot of Indian and Asian weddings every year in all sorts of locations, from the Waldorf and Gibson Hall to The Clay Oven and even village halls! I aim to produce a beautiful set of photographs that show the joy and love from the wedding, stress and frustration, tears and laughter.

It’s really important your photographer understands the ceremonies and traditions that make up your wedding, ensuring you can relax knowing the wedding photographs are being properly taken care of. London – London is where it all started for me as a wedding photographer, what an amazing place for your wedding! There are so many beautiful locations for fantastic photographs to mark your wedding day. I know the city well and I still love shooting here. Nothing quite like the buzz of being a London wedding photographer!

Depending on plans for the day, I often take the bride and groom off to do some beautiful shots of them together. It doesn’t matter where your wedding and reception take place – the city is packed with famous places and landmarks to make the perfect backdrop for your relaxed and fun bride and groom shots. I like to work unobtrusively, in keeping with my reportage style. This works really well – we get some great shots, you get some time alone together in the melee of your wedding day!

I’ve photographed weddings at loads of fantastic London venues both big and small. I’m recommended by several prestigious venues including 116 Pall Mall, Institute of Directors (IOD), Park Lane Hotel, Le Meridien Piccadilly and Love Swan (Swan at the Globe).

Wedding and engagement photography in Sussex

Sussex is a beautiful area (and not just because I live here!), with loads of fantastic wedding venues and wonderful locations for engagement and wedding photography. The light here is great, particularly near the sea.

I love to take couples up to locations like the Jack & Jill Windmills and use the wonderful surrounding landscapes as a backdrop. Beaches are also a beautiful backdrop for wedding day or engagement photographs.

It’s not just the scenery that makes Sussex a great place for weddings, there are some fabulous venues too. Wherever your wedding is, we can plan some beautiful bride and groom shots, as well as my ongoing unobtrusive coverage of your day. You can concentrate on your guests and having a great time, I’ll concentrate on photographing your day in the reportage style I specialise in. My aim is to capture all the moments that will never be repeated, so the bride and groom, family and friends can relive those moments again & again.

Wedding Photography in Brighton

Brighton has an amazing amount of colourful, exciting locations in town and of course on the beach. For weddings and engagement shoots the people, places and the great light make Brighton an excellent place for wedding photography.
As a wedding photographer I love shooting in Brighton as it compliments my reportage shooting style perfectly. I like to work in the background, photographing all the significant moments that go into making up your wedding day. It’s also a great idea to make time in the day for some intimate shots of the Bride and Groom in a relaxed setting, sometimes on the beach or near the venue – there’s no shortage of options.

Priya & Steve’s Engagement Shoot on Worthing Beach & Pier

Worthing Beach proved to be an excellent location for an engagement shoot with beautiful weather helping too!

It was a great chance for us to get to know each other better and for Steve & Priya to see what its like to be in front of the camera before their wedding day itself.

Thanks to them both for being up for everything I asked them to do, including jumping over each other! Little did they know when they asked me to shoot their wedding that the wedding photography would involve them being so active! I did ask them if they would run into the sea for me and although they agreed, in the end we ran out of light! Maybe another time…….click here to see more photos from this shoot

Nadya & Amit’s wedding at Wickwoods Country Club

Nadya and Amit’s wedding at Wickwoods Country Club in Sussex had a particularly international feel about it, with relatives over from Peru and the US giving a wonderful flavour to an extremely colourful day.

Add in some beautiful English countryside and you have some great opportunities for a wedding photographer! The catering and service were fantastic throughout the day thanks to Lisa & Bal, all wrapped up with a heaving dance floor!

Thank you also to Amit’s relatives who helped me shoot the group shots so smoothly.

Ruth & Adam’s wedding at All Saints Church & The Mappin Pavilion at London Zoo

With Ruth & Adam’s love of animals, their wedding was never going to be anywhere else! A beautiful ceremony at All Saints Church (despite the scaffolding!) and then onto the Mappin Pavilion at London Zoo where feeding Ruth’s bouquet to Ellish the giraffe was just one of the highlights of their day.

One of the great things about the location for me as a wedding photographer, apart from the animals, are all the visitors who wish the bride & groom well during the day as they walk past. Thank you to Ruth and Adam for a great day and also to all their lovely relatives who made me feel really involved.
